About Our Surgeons
Trauma and surgical critical care surgeons are responsible for initially resuscitating, stabilizing, and later evaluating and managing the patient. The attending trauma surgeon also leads the trauma team, which includes nurses and support staff as well as resident physicians. Feenixx Hospital Trauma Center surgeons are trained in general surgery and are board-certified in surgical critical care. They regularly communicate and collaborate with each other to provide the best possible care. This means as a patient, it is not unusual to see more than one trauma surgeon during your stay at the hospital.
